Peter Lin, ASLA
Landscape Designer
Peter Lin doesn’t just claim to love travel, he lives it! He has been to seventy-five countries, speaks five languages, and fantasizes about being a travel documentarian who can eat his way through different countries and call it “research.” His favorite thing about traveling is making new connections with people of different backgrounds, a passion that extends to his work as a Landscape Designer. He finds it rewarding to serve his community by creating greater well-being for residents. He’s inspired by the long-lasting impact of thoughtful landscape design in reshaping a generation’s memory of a place. He believes those memories continue to tell the story of the land. Peter is a 2021 ASLA Student Honor Award winner for his work as team leader on the development of a resilient foodscape framework for East Africa that offers solutions to locust outbreaks. He counts this award as his proudest professional accomplishment, along with surviving the fast pace of Asia without spilling coffee on important blueprints.
