Planner

We are seeking a qualified and motivated applicant for a full-time Planner position. As a Planner, you will participate in various local and regional planning and design activities. These include outdoor recreation planning, resiliency planning, placemaking, signage design, master planning, site planning for multiple uses, campus framework planning, transportation and mobility planning, and more. Outreach and stakeholder engagement initiatives will be included in most of our projects. In addition, the Planner will support our office with graphic visualizations and GIS mapping.
Candidates must be creative, energetic, self-motivated, possess strong communication and critical thinking skills, and be able to take personal initiative in their work environment. Candidates must also have excellent written and verbal skills, be comfortable participating in and supporting public engagement activities, and possess the ability to learn new skills quickly. Proficiency with GIS, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and MS Office software is required. Proficiency with SketchUp, AutoCAD, and other design software is desired but not required.
A degree in urban or regional planning (or similar) from an accredited college or university is required, plus a minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience. A graduate degree may be considered equivalent to professional experience. AICP certification is desired but not required.
Additional skills or experience in environmental planning, transportation planning, sustainability and resiliency planning, outdoor recreation, historic preservation, graphic design, grant writing, and other innovative skills are a plus.
This is a project management level position and requires the ability to support a full range of planning services on projects of all sizes. Typical work skills required include:
- Project management and task coordination with other staff members in a team environment.
- Preparation and coordination of planning documents and associated deliverables, including research, evaluation, and compilation of studies and other related documentation.
- Knowledge of local and national regulatory processes and standards.
- Stakeholder engagement, meeting support, and facilitation.

Landscape Architect/Project Manager (5 -10 years)

We are seeking an experienced project manager for our office in Albuquerque, NM. Candidates must be creative, energetic, self-motivated, possess strong communication and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to take personal initiative in their work environment. Candidates must have a well-rounded skillset, enjoy working in a team setting, and the ability to guide support staff. An undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited landscape architecture program is required, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and MS Office software. Licensure is preferred, but all candidates with project management experience will be considered.
