Pland Collaborative is celebrating 50 years in business!
August 04, 2023
This year has been extremely busy for us - a new name, new Albuquerque office location, a new office in Lubbock, Texas, and a rapidly growing team. After taking time to settle into these exciting transformations, we finally have the chance to celebrate 50 years in business. We are so thankful!
Founded in 1973 by Baker Morrow, our office was one of New Mexico’s first landscape architecture firms. The practice was conceived, and continues, with a specific mission—to plan resilient communities and design exceptional, outdoor public spaces. 50 years later, ours is the largest landscape architecture and planning firm in New Mexico.
The new generation of our team leads with a modern approach—stressing innovation, creativity, and resiliency. And with that came our new name - Pland Collaborative - to better reflect our refreshed direction.
The growth and development of Pland Collaborative would not have been possible without the people who founded and then led our company through much of these first fifty years. As we celebrate this milestone, we extend our gratitude to those founding partners who are now enjoying the fruits of their labors in retirement: Baker H. Morrow, FASLA, Liz Reardon, ASLA, and Dennis Wilkinson, FASLA. We also have the greatest appreciation for our employees, whose talents and commitment have been the driving force behind our growth and accomplishments. Likewise, we extend our thanks to our amazing clients and partners for their steady trust and support, enabling us to work through challenges and embrace new opportunities with confidence.
Together, we have done something remarkable, and we aim to move forward to a future brimming with possibilities. Cheers to 50 years!
